This week, the price of bitcoin fluctuated between the low $6,000s and high $5,000s, reaching the $6,700s at its highest.
Due perhaps to coronavirus-related mining shutdowns, the Bitcoin hash rate has fallen this month.

On This Day In Bitcoin

On March 25, 2013, Bitcoin Magazine's Vitalik Buterin reported that BitPay had processed over $2 million in payments that month, a new milestone for the firm.

"The company also reports that the rate of transactions is also accelerating, with 3,600 processed this month, and the total number of merchants that the company serves has now increased to over 4,000," Buterin wrote. "As a sign of Bitcoin's greater adoption, this news is very significant."
